You own a company and a website, and you wish to bring in visitors to your website or maybe to a personal blog, but how will you do this? Answer: Blogging. A blog can make this possible for you. Blogging will also push your website up in search engine rankings.

A blog can generate a lead and attract potential customers for your business. It can give a boost and the right mileage to your business in a unique manner that you might not have imagined yet.

What Are the Benefits of Blogging? Why Should You Start Blogging?

Imprint Your Presence

Always try and publish evergreen content. When you publish a blog post, you leave a mark and trail behind through Google and other search engines. As you gain a higher ranking in search engines, more people will start to see your blog in their SERP, and then readers/customers will start to land on your website, even if the post was published a few weeks or months ago.

Boost the Website Traffic

How often your business website can change content? What part of the website can be filled in with engaging and evergreen content? It is the blog. How often do you change your phone or email address to update the contact us page?

When you update your website regularly, it signals to search engines that your website is actively managed and offers fresh content for users to read. Search engines would always want to list active websites with fresh content on the first search pages of a website which was updated 12 years ago.

Connect with The Audience

Your blog can be a platform for you to connect with your clients and prospective customers. You can share your blog posts on social media and get more engagement on both social and blogging platforms. Writing stories that connect your business directly with customer emotionally is a good idea.

Keep Your Customers Informed

When you publish a blog post, you connect with your customers by sharing the latest information about your business that keeps reminding them about your offerings. A static website doesn’t change often and might fail to ignite the interest of the consumer in your products.

Have an exciting product update? Are you running a competition on your social media channels? How do you tell this to your customer? Simply write a blog post.

Social Media Boost

When you share your posts on your social media pages and profiles, you reach a larger audience with new content, and if your readers like the content, they can share it with their friends and followers. This creates a chain reaction that gives your business a wider reach and exposure. Who doesn’t want that?

Information Depot

As you write and publish your blog posts regularly, it will build a resourceful information depot where readers can take a deep dive and find all the necessary information that they are looking for. Why would one go to an unknown website through search engines if they are sure that your website has answers to all their problems through a content-reach blog?

This is what you would like to achieve over a period.

Authority in a field

Through blogs and comments on the blog post, you can start to address the concerns of your readers. Over a period, it can help you to establish your authority on that topic.

Try to find a unique writing style that will address the questions of your prospective customers as well.

Honing Your Writing Skills

When you regularly write blog posts, you are honing your writing skills. This teaches you to communicate better. Writing always clears the clog in your mind, and ideas come out in a flow. It is a skill that is invaluable, a skill that will help you even beyond your regular business.

Personal Touch

When you regularly publish a blog post and communicate with the audience, it gives a personal touch and helps you to take that edge over the competitors. By blogging and remaining in touch with customers and potential customers, you can show them that you are passionate about your work and you want to help your customers.

These are the top reasons why I maintain a blog and keep writing new blog posts. My schedule may not allow me to maintain an appropriate frequency (sad!), but I still blog. Above mentioned are a few reasons that keep me motivated to blogging.
